This is not just a policy—it's how the app is technically built. There are no servers to store your data, no cloud services to sync it, and no way for us to access your information even if we wanted to.
Data We Collect
We do not collect your financial data.

- No usage analytics
- No device identifiers
On-Device Processing
All AI features in HeyJerni run entirely on your device using Apple's Neural Engine and Core ML framework. This includes:
- Voice-to-text transcription
- Natural language expense parsing
- Smart expense categorization
- Spending pattern analysis
Data Storage
Your expense data is stored locally on your iPhone with bank-grade encryption. This means:
- Data is encrypted on your device
- Only you can access your data
- Data is included in your encrypted iPhone backups
Third-Party Services
HeyJerni does not share your financial data with any third parties. We do not integrate with any advertising networks or data brokers. Your expense data stays on your device.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect any data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) don't apply in the usual sense. However, you have complete control over your data within the app:
- Export your data as CSV at any time
- Delete all data by deleting the app
- View and edit any expense record
iCloud Backup
If you enable iCloud backup, your encrypted data is stored in your personal iCloud account. Only you can access this data through your Apple ID.
